David (with the wonderful assistance of a good friend) managed to upgrade our cars last night and today. They finally had the time for getting it done. (That and David figured out that if he did not do it this weekend it would be mid-October before he could work on them.)
In the process of doing so David paid our friend with a meal. He smoked some pork roasts and ribs. I believe I heard the possibility of "smoker" and "wish list" uttered in the same breath... And of course we had THE chocolate cake for dessert. We kept it simple. Pulled pork sandwiches, ribs, scalloped potatoes, watermelon (good price right now), lemonade, cake.
We knew we would have a lot of food (we always do when he does this kind of smoked cooking), so we invited all four missionaries over.
David has also gotten into doing more jerky. His coworkers love it too... We need to find some oxygen packets to keep some of it fresh in containers.
Time for bed. It has been a long week. Much was accomplished. Sleep required.
